Training and development specialists are primarily responsible for interviewing manpower, assessing different training needs by conducting surveys thereby formulating training programs in consultation with the management and the trainers. They are involved in designing the training material and the associated training aids.

Expected pay package for Training and Development Specialists

According to recent studies, a Training & Development Specialist who is a beginner with even less than one year experience is expected to receive an average pay package (which might include

tips, bonus, and overtime pay) of INR 3,50,000 approx. Training & Development Specialists with about one to four years of experience is expected to receive an average pay package of INR 4,50,000 approx. A Training & Development Specialist with about five to nine years of experience is expected to receive an average net income of INR 6,00,000 approx. A well experienced Training & Development Specialist with about ten to nineteen years of experience is expected to receive an average pay package of INR 11,90,000. Training and Development Specialists who are highly experienced with twenty and more years, is expected to receive an average pay package of INR 13,00,000.

Qualifications to become a Training and Development Specialist

A Bachelors or a Masters degree in Human Resource (BBA-HR / MBA-HR) or in Business or anything that is equivalent and relevant is the primary requirement for any Training and Development profile. Expertise in studying behavioral psychology, educational psychology and instructional strategies also benefits a Training & Development Specialist.
