Centre for Training and Professional Development, the training wing of Asian College of Teachers, has designed and developed a training program on measuring training results for professional trainers of the same name. A training session is never complete without a proper evaluation of the whole training process, whether through the participants or through the self-evaluation approach. This training program deals with ways of measuring training results at the end of the training sessions.
Participants will be asked to identify their personal learning objectives. The following are the areas to be covered in this training program thereafter.
To begin the course, we will explore the three key aspects of the evaluation framework: identifying what you will measure, choosing how you will measure it, and bringing everything together into an evaluation strategy.
In this section, participants will consider strategies for active learning.
This section takes an in-depth look at Donald Kirkpatrick's four-stage evaluation model. Program testing and evaluation techniques will also be covered.
In this section, the participants will learn how to calculate the return on investment from training and perform a cost-benefit analysis.
The final section will give the participants some tips on presenting results to stakeholders.
At the end of the course, students will have an opportunity to ask questions and queries and fill out an action plan.
