Centre for Training and Professional Development, the training wing of Asian College of Teachers, has designed and developed this online training program to acquaint the trainers with the right set of techniques to be used during the usage of visual tools. Since visuals are the language of 21st Century, hence using them in training purposes is quite essential. With the improvement of technology, it has become much easier to visually communicate a training module to the learners.
Participants will be asked to identify their personal learning objectives. The following are the areas to be covered in this training program thereafter.
Next, participants will explore the history of storytelling in training, as well as the difference between training and meetings. Participants will also review their pre-assignment.
This section will look at the three key elements of a powerful story: the connection to the audience, the story's purpose, and its content.
Storyboarding is a valuable tool that is used in all sorts of industries, from movie design to training, and everything in between. This section will introduce participants to the storyboarding process and offer some tools that they can use. Collaboration tools will also be discussed.
In this part, participants will learn how to bring their story to life with graphic design, the right medium for the message, a personable approach, and effective delivery.
To conclude the course, participants will learn about some of the presentation and eLearning development tools on the market today. They will also explore gamification and its role in training. Finally, tips for avoiding technology disasters will be shared.
At the end of the course, students will have an opportunity to ask questions and queries and fill out an action plan.
